An Autobiography of a Youth

Carl Angelo C. Casilag
(Santa Cruzan in Doha 2019)

My name is Casilag, Carl Angelo C., I am currently studying Humanities and Social Science student at Philippine International School-Qatar. I was born on May 13, 2003, in San Pablo, Laguna, Luzon, Philippines. I went to Philippine International School - Qatar for my elementary and high school education.

I am currently residing in Doha, Qatar with both of my parents, Jovito Casilag and Stephan Casilag. I am currently aged 17 years old and my family moved to Qatar due to work in 2010, when I was just in the aged 7 years old. Growing up as an only child within a family of three (3) within a foreign country has been difficult for him as growing up in a region where constant political instability and extreme temperatures are prominent.

I also am currently busy with religious commitments such as being a Catechist for the Filipino Catechism, A Volunteer Usher, Master of Ceremonies of Altar Servers, and many more. Wherein I won numerous awards such as the San Pedro Calungsod Award, the Altar Server of the year award, and much more.

Aside from these religious commitments I also am an active student and youth who participates in numerous extracurricular activities such as being a Taekwondo student with a rank of Red belter, Model United Nations team officer, International History Bee and Bowl team member, Debate team member, School Newspaper Photographer, Former Artistocracy Project Manager and many more. Wherein I won awards such as the recent Honorable Mention Award that I received from the Georgetown University Qatar Model United Nations Fall Conference 2020  and much more.
