“The Protectors”

With a vivid memory, I could still remember how this pandemic came to be as it was the beginning of March 2020, as when the first case was reported in Qatar a few days after the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic.

The entire international community was placed into chaos and dismay as the number of infected cases continues to rise and as major cities across the globe counties fell into lockdowns which devastated and separated thousands of people from their jobs and to the life we are used to, as the COVID-19 virus continues to spread like wildfire across nations worldwide.

Healthcare providers most particularly nurses and medical experts as the only light seen as the public sees as the only heroes amidst this chaos. We the people tend to sometimes neglect that there is something more than meets the eye, as there are also modern heroes who keep us safe and help us during this time of darkness. 

These modern heroes may appear unimportant or not as significant as those in the medical fields such as the cleaners, sanitation engineers, delivery personnel, food service personnel, and security personnel such as soldiers, police officers, and much more have also been a major part of our action towards combating the current pandemic. 

As they keep us all safe and keep everything in order, they also protected us from chaos and dangers as these are the people who protect us from day and night along with working the different factors of the society, so to create a peaceful and safe society for the all of us.

With a vivid memory, I can still remember the time that I spent with my older sister as we were both still are a child, with these memories when we will play around and even argue from time to time. My older sisters are a big part of my life’s journey, as they are my friends, guardians, and my siblings. 

My older sister named Marian is currently serving the United States military in the Air Force to be exact, as she wished to protect our country and its people. 

She moved to the States when I was little in hopes to finish her education and so to look for a search for a high-earning job there, even though that it wasn’t easy for her, she remained firm and strong in facing such adversities and not to her expectations that she will be part of the military, but with this came to her that she wishes to bring something back to the community.

On where she and her fellow military personnel help the community by giving food reliefs to those in need, they continuously overseeing the safety and future of everyone within and outside the country, and I look up to her because of this and I look forward to meeting her soon enough.

Security personnel has major responsibilities in which some of us tend to overlook at such as security guards who protect and patrol an area so to make sure that such an area is safe and peaceful.

As with their continuous effort to secure our communities and make them peaceful even before the pandemic, they created a world with fewer wars and security issues than before.

Even though with all the efforts that everyone made so to help control and limit the spread of the virus, we must now have to face the thing that we feared with new and innovative methods, the new method approach proposed by experts is to implement stricter lockdowns so to help stop the spread of the virus. 

The tremendous efforts made by security personnel continuously efforts, allowed us to live and have a peaceful life within the present generation and for future generations.

So in conclusion, they’re a lot of modern-day heroes living among us, where they don’t want to be in the spotlight for fame or honor but rather help and bring something back to the community.
